Wedding Wednesday: Crazy About Chevron
To my delight, it’s seems as if the design world has exploded in chevron.
This simple and versatile zig-zag shape has shown up everywhere from the fashion runways to the kitchen wall. Of course, it was only a matter of time until the coolest design element since the polka-dot made it’s debut in the wedding world.
Chevron is perfect for the slightly quirky, slightly modern, slightly energetic wedding couple. From invites to table decorations, there are so many fun ways to incorporate it into your wedding day. Likewise, the look can vary from sleek and modern to natural and hip. Oooh… I get so excited thinking of the possibilities! Here are a few of my favorite chevron finds:
There is nothing that says modern and sophisticated quite like soft grey and white. Add the fun chevron shape, and you have a perfect combination. I love this simple cake by
Sweet and Saucy Shop and this modern Save-the-Date by
Andrea Gerig Designs on Etsy. Oh, and in case you need a gift for those special bridesmaids and groomsmen, check out this super neat flask by
Whimsy & Ink on Etsy.
More of the all-natural type? How about a cute seating card planter? You can find the full tutorial on the
yes, please blog. Oh, oh and how about this beautiful
wedding invite by
Lande & Maze? If my wedding was today (as opposed to five years ago) this is TOTALLY the invite I would have. I also really love this cute wedding favor bag by
Ashley Pahl on Etsy.
If bright and fun is more your style, then are you ever lucky. Chevron works great in any color. Add a few bright colors to the mix and you have yourself some super crazy awesomeness. I love the watercolor chevron on these
adorable wedding invites. Oh, and check out this fun
California wedding (center and right), featuring more cake goodness from
Sweet and Saucy Shop.
