Cute little Evan (and his ma and pa too)…
Hailey is a graceful dancer and was soooo easy to photograph. While it was fun making some photos in the studio in her ballet costumes, once we went out into the amazing autumn light the session really started to get fun. It’s so amazing when you start to see a graduate show you who they really are and it was great to experience that with Hailey.
Every once and awhile, we photograph couples who will be getting married out of state (or country) and therefore just need a stand alone engagement session. Often times after the session I’m pretty bummed – we photograph some of the best people in the world and I would LOVE to share in their wedding joy. I was especially sad after I met and photographed Grand Forks couple Lailani and Clay who will be getting hitched this June in Washington state. They are an incredibly sweet, lively couple and I just know their wedding day will be beautiful and full of love. Congratulations Lailani & Clay!
I love doing graduate sessions outdoors and the lovely, lovely Kailyn and her mum did a fabulous job choosing the locations for her shoot. They wanted something downtowny, so we first headed to the Depot on Main Avenue. For something a little more country, they choose Yunker’s Farm in North Fargo as location number two. It was a fabulous combination for a fabulous girl!
The grounds at A Friend’s House looked spectacular this fall for Jay and Donna’s wedding. All the festivities were hosted right on site which helped make for a relaxed day. A tight knit group of friends and family enjoyed a ceremony officiated by a local celebrity, spectacular food and fun, fun music from a band comprised of the couples’ coworkers.
Brett Michaels of Poison made a special guest appearance to serenade Donna!
