Class of 2012: Jade (Round II)

Do you remember gorgeous Jade from this post a few weeks back? In August, we had a fabulous time exploring the grounds of Rustic Oaks south of Moorhead. This September, we continued her session here at our studio in West Fargo. I’ll say it again, Jade is absolutely gorgeous, super nice and just a great person.

Addie + Ryan

Little Addie is married!! (I get to call her Little Addie because I’ve know her since her toddler years.) I’ve photographed Addie a long time: I shot her senior portraits and her sisters’ too, I even photographed a birthday party at their house for a book project when I was in college. My friends call me Dave but my family still calls me David – well I’m David to these guys too.

Addie and Ryan held everything at the Fargo Holiday Inn so we made a pilgrimage to good ol’ Island Park for some nice outdoor portraits. The weather couldn’t have been better! The entire day was really focused on fun and we happily had a great time right along with everyone else. Lots of pink, lots of laughter and a few tears made this one awesome wedding day.

Congrats, Addie and Ryan!

Middle sister Callie.

And the baby of our trio, Elizabeth. I can’t believe I took photos of her as an infant!

I just love the funny moments of the day.

Addie and Ryan also had a photo booth – crazy fun!

Wedding Wednesday: Nautical

Never mind that Fargo is as far from an ocean as you can possibly get, you should embrace the newest trend in fashion and design: nautical. Seriously, it seems like a perfect excuse to get married in northern Minnesota along beautiful Lake Superior.  Better yet, let a nautical theme be your excuse to plan a destination wedding on the east coast or the Normandy region of France. Or, if you can’t bear to leave the flatlands of North Dakota, use the excuse that we live in a sea of prairie grass and soybeans. That’s a proper justification, right?

If I haven’t persuaded you to have a nautical wedding yet, take a look at this beautiful wedding photographed by Shannon Lee Images (and found on Style Me Pretty). The Navy, white and coral color scheme matched with traditional nautical symbols of stripes and anchors is absolutely delightful. Love!

Table decoration possibilites are endless. I love theses cute little jars and this adorable place card boat. Oh, and silverware tied with a fisherman’s rope… cheap, easy and genius.

One more invite!  I really love the entire design of this Scout’s Honor Company save the date and Wedding invite found via 100 Layer Cake. It’s so bright, fun and easy going.
